Welcome to Hämeenlinna's setlementti's webpage!

Hämeenlinna's setlementti is an association fouded in 1997 by Finns and immigrants together. The basic values of the settlement federation are everyday caring for each other, the sense of community and cooperation between different people.

In practice the work of setlementti is action that has been planned together with the participants. The aim is to create activities that respond to participants' needs. The help settlement offers is easy for everyone to get.

The main target group of Hämeenlinna's setlementti's work is the immigrants living in Hämeenlinna and neighbour municipalities. Setlementti offers different group activities and councelling for children, youth and families.

In setlementti is also coordinated the cooperation of the local association that promote social and health issues.

On these pages you can find information of what Hämeenlinna's setlementti offers to you and also about how you could participate the local multicultural and settlement work. So far most of the pages are available in Finnish only. We are trying to write at least short abstracts at the end of every page.
